Giving Our Clients the Confidence to Move Forward with Their Plans

Hello Alyson,

After almost three decades of serving clients and executives, Hunter Murray, a Partner and Co-founder of NorthWind Partners, is retiring at the end of 2023 to fully pursue interests in the faith-driven marketplace.

“Hunter and I started the firm together in 2006 and it’s been an amazing journey. He strongly supported the model to which we still adhere when it was nothing more than an idea and his contributions as a senior leader within the firm far transcend the material. The importance of a healthy culture, being a value-added team member, colleague, and confidant, and mentoring/guiding the success of the next generation of consultants at NorthWind were all priorities for Hunter,” said Mark HuYoung, Managing Partner of NorthWind Partners, “While I’m glad he will remain in an advisory capacity to the firm, his daily presence will be missed. My dear friend is going down the path to which he’s been called, and the entire firm is excited for what his next season of life holds.”

Jon Rice, who currently leads the firm’s quickly growing Private Equity / Alternative Assets practice, will succeed Hunter as a Partner. “His positive resonance with peers and colleagues since joining the firm has been undeniable. While he has some big shoes to fill, Jon is essentially stepping into a role he is already fulfilling so this is a seamless transition for which we are grateful.”
