Hope February has been kind to you & yours! We've packed a lot into this short month, so prepare to be updated!

We are happy to report that the Free Book Shelves initiative is in full effect! This month, we were thrilled to install Free Book Shelves at the Riverfront Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. If you think your organization would benefit from Free Book Shelves, don't hesitate to reach out!

We also had a great time hosting a pop-up library at the Mastery Schools of Camden Enrollment Fair. Thanks for your help, Nas and Katherine!

Our visits from the children of the Kids Alley after-school program were as fun as ever, with reading and activities led by our fearless leader Tom Martin and Maurice Hayman of The Authentic Minds. Forever thankful for our partnership with Kids Alley and the time we get to spend with these great kids!

Last but certainly not least, we hosted our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Cathedral Kitchen!

It was an evening to remember, featuring readings by local poets Rocky Wilson and Reet Starwind, a moving speech by Roz Pichardo of Operation Save Our City, and the presentation of our first annual Volunteer of the Year Award to Dr. John Martin, without whom our beloved Book Arks would not exist.

We are beyond grateful for all of our volunteers, and it was a true joy to show our appreciation and recognition of their efforts. The Free Books Project is not only about promoting literacy but also about building community, and we could not do either without the wonderful folks who help us in our mission.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you for your support.
