Renewed Spirits by Dana Karnowski, Family Care Coordinator
In the last newsletter, we shared the story of the nativity set and the missing Baby Jesus, the hope of finding Him, and the joy in seeking Him during the Christmas season. Now in the New Year as the noise of the holiday season is softening, we can still reflect on the hope that can be found in Jesus. Hope arises from small, faithful steps of seeking, listening, and choosing to move forward.
I encourage each of us to enter this New Year with a heart open to possibilities. As the year 2026 unfolds, let us embrace each day as an opportunity to help ourselves and others find hope, feel connection, and experience rediscovery after the pain of loss.
Losing our way can often lead us to new paths filled with unexpected joy and deeper understanding.
WPRP continues to fill our widowed families with this unexpected joy and deeper understanding through instrumental support and services such as home cleanings, home organization and self-care stipends. Our work relies on the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers who remind families they are not alone. Let’s walk into 2026 together, with hope and renewed spirits!
"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
