Making lists is always a good idea. Grocery lists, to-do lists, and lists of goals -- these all help to keep us on our path and mindful of the way in which we move through our day-to-day.
Well, yogis, we have a challenge for you. We'd like you to make a list.
Sit down and take some time to make a gratitude list. Take inventory of the people, special places, sensations, or even things for which you are grateful. Whatever it is that makes you happy, write it down. These can be words or phrases or a 500-word journal entry. Write whatever comes to mind, and allow yourself to get lost in this meditative exercise.
Keep this list, refer to it often, and smile to yourself when you come across an item on your list. Give yourself the permission to
do more of what makes you happy
