28th SAN DIEGO SUMMIT:

UNITING 1,050 VISIONARIES AND INNOVATORS

"I return every year because the IVAT Summit speaks to me in every possible way.

I learn, I create, I am inspired, I have community, I am rejuvenated, I am hopeful, and I have fun. Working together to end violence through community and passion."

Mary Jo Barrett, MSW

We are thrilled to share the resounding success of our 28th San Diego Summit! Here are some key highlights:

  • Attendance of 1,050 participants, representing 45 states and 18 countries and U.S. territories.

  • San Diego City Attorney Mara Elliott delivered a warm welcome at the Opening Plenary & Ceremonies, and Erica Pinto, Chairwoman of the Jamul Indian Village of California delivered the Native American Blessing, setting a positive tone for the entire Summit.

  • It was an honor to welcome our distinguished Opening and Closing Plenary speakers: Dr. Alissa R. Ackerman, Nicole Hockley and Lynn Rosenthal.

  • Attendees thoroughly enjoyed visiting our 20 exhibitors with a highlight being the mini therapy horses (Amazing Mini Miracles) and therapy dogs (Helen Woodward Animal Center).

  • The 105 captivating sessions resulted in excellent Summit survey feedback!

IVAT cannot celebrate its success without expressing our deepest gratitude to all who contributed and collaborated, making this Summit a remarkable achievement. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our valued sponsors, exhibitors, in-kind donors, esteemed speakers, dedicated planning committee members, volunteers, attendees, and staff.

This year, IVAT Summits touched the lives of over 2,500 individuals, and this paves the way for us to surpass these accomplishments in 2024!

Thank you for your pivotal role in sparking transformation, fueling innovation, and fostering a more resilient community. We look forward to working together as we strive for even greater triumphs on our journey.
