We have a longstanding tradition at HK on evenings when California state bar results are posted. Our team visits The Hukilau Restaurant in San Jose, we order a big round of mai-tais and we stand ready to cheer (or console) our colleagues who are awaiting their bar exam results.

There is no obligation for our employee(s) awaiting a result to join the team in person. However, when they do show up with glowing smiles and arms raised up in victory, the excitement, support and cheerleading they receive when they arrive make it an unforgettable celebration for everyone.

Congratulations to HK Law Clerks, Raechele Jang (left) and Diana Han (right), on successfully passing the bar! On Friday, November 12th, we had the opportunity to resume our tradition and to celebrate the news of their bar results with them (pic below). We understand there was a 53% pass rate for this exam, and we are extremely proud of our colleagues on this momentous achievement in their legal careers.

We are pleased to announce that they will be continuing their employment with HK, and they have both accepted positions as Associate Attorneys (pending their swearing in ceremonies and official admittance to California state bar to occur within the next two weeks). Congratulations once again, Raechele and Diana! It’s a great day at HK!

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holidays, we have chosen to highlight the efforts of Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. From hosting emergency drive-thrus and running a delivery program, volunteers have tirelessly worked to help increase food distribution in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Second Harvest is in need of continued community support as the safe access and distribution of food with Covid-19 safety compliance restrictions, will likely continue for years to come.

Thank you to our estate planning colleagues at Brainin Law Office, for the invitation to participate in their “HOPE for the Holidays” campaign. We have pledged our donation and are spreading this important message to our network. We are grateful for our community and partners, and hope that together, we can make a positive difference, especially to those in need of food this Thanksgiving.
