Gratitude in Action

Happy Fall to the “village” beyond our Village!

At Rainbow Village, we’ve been wrapped up in the ongoing transformation of our campus – from the two new apartment buildings that will more than double our capacity for families with children experiencing homelessness to the reimagining of our Community Center to serve up to 300 people each year as a place to gather, grow, and learn. With the holidays right around the corner, we need your help now more than ever to ensure the families who call Rainbow Village “home” have much to be grateful for.

There are many ways to help this time of year, but one of the most impactful is donating gift cards that give Rainbow Village parents the flexibility to buy holiday gifts or much-needed essentials like gas and food. You can also shop our Academy and Apartment Wish Lists on Amazon for items that will put a smile on our current and incoming families’ faces. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Companies and churches can host donation drives or team-building volunteer events on our campus. Groups can put together snack bags and lunches for our Academy students while they’re on Thanksgiving break or cozy baskets for our Thrive Alumni families to enjoy during the holidays. And all you prayer warriors out there can pray that all our families successfully complete our program and move on to a home of their own – because that is ALWAYS the goal.

To make the “action” part of this Gratitude in Action equation as simple as possible, we’ve included a series of buttons below that link back to the corresponding pages on our website. Please know that my team and I count you and that big, beautiful heart of yours among our own blessings this holiday season.

We wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving! May you have much to be grateful for – today and always!

Peace and Blessings ~

Rainbow Village is partnering with the Georgia Festival of Trees as a Village Partner this year, and we'd love for you to join us!

The Georgia Festival of Trees is one of the Southeast’s largest holiday festivals. Produced by Unto the Least of These, Inc., the festival brings the community together through holiday traditions while raising awareness and support for organizations working to end the trafficking and sexual exploitation of women and children in Georgia. The Festival will take place November 21-29 (closed 11/25-26 for Thanksgiving).

Once this cherished holiday tradition has come to a close, we need volunteers to help us UNDECK the halls. The shift is on November 29, from 3:30-8 p.m. Anyone interested can contact our Community Engagement Coordinator, Brittany Lowe at blowe@rainbowvillage.org.

Experience the Joy of Giving this Holiday Season!

Change the life of a family that has experienced homelessness.

Homelessness does not recognize special occasions. That means the families who currently call Rainbow Village "home" may not have had a joyful holiday season last year. From Apartment essentials that make Rainbow Village feel more like home to gift cards that make shopping for gifts, gas, and meals easier, you can make this year a very different experience for them.

Please note: The deadline for item and gift card donations is 12/4/26.

The Subaru Share the Love Event returns this month, and - once again - Rainbow Village is incredibly honored to have been named Subaru of Gwinnett's Hometown Charity! Between November 19, 2026 and January 4, 2027, you can get a great vehicle and support a great cause.

With every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to your choice of charities* - the ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, or the National Park Foundation. As its designated Hometown Charity, Subaru of Gwinnett will also donate a portion of the proceeds to Rainbow Village for each vehicle sold or leased during its Share the Love Event, as well as for every routine Subaru vehicle service visit!

When you pop by their showroom at 2950 Satellite Boulevard in Duluth, be sure to tell them Rainbow Village sent you!

TICK TOCK! Time is running out for you to vote your favorite businesses and organizations "Best of Gwinnett! Rainbow Village is honored to be in the running for BEST OF GWINNETT in the Family Services category AND the Charitable Organizations category this year!

While we don't do it for the glory or accolades, a Best of Gwinnett win helps expand awareness of our all-important mission to bring Help, Hope, Housing, and Healing to families experiencing homelessness. You can vote daily now through November 18! We deeply appreciate every vote you cast for us!
