Greetings!
This holiday season we have chosen to focus on gratitude. As a part of the ICAN family, we have been able to impact and touch so many lives. So far this year, we have placed 24 assistance dogs with people with disabilities – an increase of 32% over last year. We are grateful our mission is important to you and are thrilled to share the following accomplishments in 2019.

  • Eclipsing outreach participation and fundraising efforts from previous years, volunteers helped maintain community relationships and pave the way for new community partners – we have done over 160 outreach events helping us raise over $770,000 dollars for ICAN.
  • We launched Heart of the Mission – a monthly giving program – and now have 75 monthly givers resulting in generous support of ICAN’s daily operations.
  • Thanks to our amazing whelper helpers and friends we had four successful litters resulting in 34 puppies for ICAN and other accredited service dog training programs.
  • We are also grateful for our dedicated puppy raisers who have helped raise 32 puppies this year as they matriculate into the ICAN training program.
  • Our beloved furloughers completed 247 three-week furloughs in 2019 accounting for over 74,000 hours of doggie-social time!
  • We are excited we successfully hosted the Assistance Dog International (ADI) international conference with over 300 world-wide attendees (from 15 different countries) – the largest conference the organization has had to date.

We continue to be in awe of the passion and dedication of our graduates, puppy raisers, volunteers and donors. We have enjoyed working with each and every one of you this year and are looking forward to an exciting 2020 at ICAN.

Thank you for all you do to help enhance the lives of people with disabilities.

May the holiday season be enjoyable and memorable for you and yours, and know we are grateful for the gift of you!
