TRAVEL SAFER. TRAVEL SMARTER.
March 2020
Project Update: Graves Rd. Interchange
Our work to improve roadway safety and provide better access
to drivers who travel through our area continues.

We know that building the connections you need
supports our regional economy and keeps our communities strong.
We hope that you and your families are safe and healthy.

Following is an update on the Graves Rd. Interchange Project,
where the pace of our work continues to ramp up:
Permanent road closure scheduled on Graves Rd.

Effective Monday, March 30, 2020, Graves Rd. will be permanently closed to all traffic at the I-275 bridge. A cul-de-sac will be built just beyond the intersection of Graves Rd. and Williams Rd. and traffic will no longer be permitted to cross over I-275. A cul-de-sac also will be built on Graves Rd. just south of the I-275 bridge to restrict traffic from traveling north on Graves Rd. over I-275.
Occasional lane closures remain in place on Graves Rd.

Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., traffic continues to be reduced to one lane on Graves Rd. between I-275 and just north of Worldwide Blvd. Traffic is being maintained by flaggers. Intermittent lane closures will continue, weather permitting, for several weeks.
Please be aware of additional travel impacts on I-275.

The pavement rehab project on I-275 westbound has started and lane closures are in place. If you travel through this work zone, please slow down, particularly as you are merging onto I-275 from
I-75.
Orange Barrels
Mean Progress

KYTC is investing more than one-quarter of a billion dollars in infrastructure improvements in our area just this year.

That’s a lot of work.

And it will mean a good number of orange barrels along some major roadways.

While we understand those orange barrels may slow you down a bit, we hope when you see them, you will think about all of the positive growth and progress that is taking place in Northern Kentucky.
I-275 Pavement Rehab work ahead of schedule
As a result of warmer-than-usual weather, the pavement rehab project on I-275 westbound was able to start a little earlier than expected.

I-275 westbound from Dixie Hwy. (US 25) to Turfway Rd. (KY 717), just east of the Mineola Pk. exit, will be paved this year. Additionally, work will occur on the following ramps:
·     I-275 westbound ramp to I-75 southbound
·     I-275 westbound entrance from Dixie Hwy.
·     I-75 southbound ramp to I-275 westbound

Please slow down to merge

Traffic has been shifted into a new traffic pattern for the first phase of work. The left lane and left shoulder are closed from Turkeyfoot Rd. to Mineola Pk.

Traffic is using the right lane and right shoulder to move throughout the project area.

This phase of work is expected to last until early May.
