Teaching and supporting local food growers and agriculture

In the greenhouse a Desert Farming Imitative staff member smiles as she bites into a tomato fresh from the vine.

"We provide climate-adapted plants valuable to local growers and all who choose locally grown, organic produce for our tables. But our aging equipment and greenhouse facility are at the point where our ability to produce top-quality plants has been affected. So, we’re asking the community to chip in."

-Jill Moe, Desert Farming Initiative Director

4-H and providing kids outdoor recreation and education

4-H youth sit together on the 4-H Camp dock at Lake Tahoe watching the sun set over the lake and surrounding mountains.

"Being in the outdoors is needed now more than ever... Extension has a long history of engaging youth in outdoor recreation and environmental education opportunities... Now is the perfect time to invest financially in our young people, our outdoor spaces and our future."

-Justin Jones, Clark County Commissioner
