15th Annual Appendix Cancer Walk/Run!
When: Father's Day weekend, June 19th - 20th

Where: Anywhere!

What: A virtual walk or run means that you can go whatever distance, whenever you’d like and you can do so in your own neighborhood!

Last year you helped us raise $94,054.09! This year is our 15th anniversary of the walk/run, held annually on Father's Day weekend! We'd love to be able to safely host it in person this year at Ridley Creek State Park in Philadelphia with a virtual option like last year! Every year it is held over Father's Day weekend and if it is in person, it will be at Ridley Creek State Park in Philadelphia.

We hope to keep everyone posted on details if we can host the event safely in person this year. Regardless, the walk/run will be virtual for anyone to participate!

MORE INFO TO COME SOON.

Will you help us reach our goal of $100k this year?!
Rare Disease Day: Sunday, February 28th

Patient & Caregiver News
Patient Advisory Council First Meeting
At the end of 2020, we announced the launch of our Patient Advisory Council (PAC). The ACPMP Patient Advisory Council consists of 27 volunteers (patients, caregivers and advocates) across the US who will work alongside ACPMP.

PAC members provide perspectives and feedback, disseminate information to the appendix cancer community, organize local patient group meetings consisting of virtual or in‐person gatherings and more.

We had our first meeting in January 2021 where we had introductions and discussed our goals for the year. We hope to begin implementing our local patient/caregiver meet-ups virtually very soon and will send an email out when they begin!
COVID-19 Vaccination Guidelines
Check out our new post: COVID-19 vaccine considerations for appendix cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei patients.

Please consult your physician to discuss!

Thank you to Dr. Laura Lambert and the Huntsman Cancer Institute for providing much of the information listed.
