Poudre School District update | Thursday, August 27, 2020
Capturing a first day of school like none other
Although it has been different than ever before, our first week of school was filled with big smiles from behind masks, air hugs and excitement for the new year. We can do hard things. #PSDTogether

After today, you will receive the GHH newsletter in your inbox on Sept. 1. We will decide thereafter whether to maintain weekly updates or shift to sending GHH every two weeks, knowing that everyone is inundated with information.
Meals available to PSD students during remote education
Did you know that PSD provides sack breakfasts and lunches for any enrolled PSD students at numerous mobile-serving locations?

Who can receive meals? Any enrolled PSD student can receive meals during remote education.

Where are meals distributed?
There are numerous meal distribution sites located across the school district’s 1,800 square miles. Meals will be available outside at some PSD schools; they will also be handed out of parked PSD buses. PSD worked with community partners and evaluated data to determine site locations, which are located within 1 mile of most PSD students’ residences.

When are meals available? 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday (on scheduled school days)
Is there a cost for meals?
Free and reduced-priced meals - Students who have qualified for free and reduced-priced meals will receive meals at no cost. For information or to apply, visit the Free and Reduced-Priced Meals website.

Students buying meals will be charged the normal breakfast and lunch prices. Because of COVID-19, the district will only accept online payments through SchoolPay accounts, but no convenience fee will be charged (typically $1 per transaction). More info >>
PSD educators, staff channeling training, strong foundational skills

Mental health matters
Mental health is crucial and requires conscious and mindful attention that will build personal resilience and the resilience of our teams, families, and communities. Please look for future updates to support you in this work. It is our hope to provide quality information, resources, humor, and connection so our staff and students know we are not alone in this journey to healing. Ask for help if you are having a tough time, and remember you are not alone.
