Together we can Keep Schools Open
Education is most enriching for our students when they are at school, guided in their learning through experiences designed by educators and staff. We want our students to really see science as it bubbles in a beaker on a lab table before them, just as we want them to feel that moment of synchronization as all members of their band play all the right notes at just the right times.
But most of all, we want to keep schools open. 
PSD medical professionals, compassionate staff and protocols built upon public health guidance are all critical to school in PSD this year, but only together can we build a shared culture of health and safety and #KeepSchoolsOpen. Read more >>
PSD Now: your new one-minute digest of district stories

COVID-19 Updates: Protocols, meals and transportation
Meals: The district will provide free meals to PSD students (PreK-12) through the end of the 2020-21 school year. PSD Meals During 2020-21 web page >>
Transportation: The Transportation Department re-designed routes for the second semester. Due to current bus driver shortages and health guidelines, among other challenges, PSD is busing a limited number of students that includes those for whom transportation is legally required. Upcoming secondary Phase 3 schedule
There is no school for all PSD students Feb. 15, which is President’s Day. Preschool and elementary students are in Phase 4 Feb. 16-19. The Phase 3 schedule for middle and high schoolers is as follows:

Second School of Choice application period opens Feb. 8
If you missed the first period of consideration to apply for School of Choice, there will be a second application period starting at 8 a.m. Feb. 8. Families have a wide array of wonderful PSD schools to choose from. More information >>
Kindergarten registration: Register online at olr.psdschools.org. Even if you opt to send your child to a school outside your neighborhood through School Choice, you must still register your child at your neighborhood school.
New 100% remote learning option in 2021-22: Poudre Global Academy Virtual (K-12)
PSD Virtual will sunset at the end of the 2020-21 school year. Those interested in a fully virtual model for the 2021-22 school year have the option of applying for School of Choice to the new Poudre Global Academy Virtual (PGAV). The second-consideration application period for School of Choice opens at 8 a.m. Feb. 8. More School of Choice information >>

High school students will now receive district updates
Starting with this edition of GHH, PSD will send district-level communications to high school students (grades 9-12), in addition to parents/guardians, PSD staff and community communicators. Students can expect to receive the GHH newsletter, major district updates, announcements and superintendent messages. Students, staff and families can unsubscribe at any time.
