FROM NORTH TO CITY/COUNTY BUILDING.
We will meet MARCHERS between 11:00 and 12:00 am
at the Allegheny Commons West Park, across from the Allegheny Unitarian Church,416 W North Avenue,
and walk together to the City/County Building on Grant Avenue, for
a welcoming press conference as we encourage the City of Pittsburgh to Divest from Fossil Fuel.
We will then accompany marchers and local activists to the County Courthouse to "Defend our Public Spaces" Rally where we will serenade our County Executive.

Building a More Resilient Pittsburgh: A Community Forum on Climate Challenges
and Opportunities
Rangos 2&3, Cohon University Center, Carnegie Mellon Campus Resilient Flyer can be found HERE Climate change poses serious challenges to achieving a resilient Pittsburgh. In response, we must seize opportunities to minimize future climate change by reducin greenhouse gas emissions.
You will engage with your neighbors in small-group discussions and
a panel of climate and energy experts will respond to your questions. Your input
at the forum will provide guidance to public officials, policymakers, and your
fellow residents as, together, we work to make our region more resilient through
the actions we take to address the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change.

At 6 pm we will host a Community Welcoming Potluck at 1st Unitarian Church, 605 Morewood Avenue, Oakland.

*RSVP HERE to attend spaghetti dinner. Dinner will be within walking distance of Diamond Square and follow immediately after the rally. Please put "Spaghetti dinner" in the Subject line and indicate how many will attend and whether you want meat balls or meatless spaghetti.

- We are looking for afternoon/dinner hosts for 3 or 4 marchers on Tuesday, October 14.
- We are also looking for a few overnight hosts for both the night of October 14 and15 and are willing to take their guests to the Church of the Redeemer, Squirrel Hill, in the morning to join with the rest of the group..

WE ARE THE HOSTS ... The whole climate justice community! Both Ann Feeney and Tom Hoffman will be our troubadours for the evening. We will hear from the marchers, listen to some great music,and promote determined solidarity
with those in our community who are doing a variety of things to address the human
causes of climate change and the social injustice caused world wide.

The march will enter Pennsylvania on October 10, with stops in Bessemer on where they will visit Maggie Henry's farm, Beaver Falls Oct 11 [with an excursion that day for marchers to Butler, PA for a Global Frackdown Rally],

South Greensburg (Oct 17)
Ligonier (Oct 18) and five other stops in PA before exiting to Maryland on October 25th.
