The Hull Nantasket Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Town of Hull and the Massachusetts DCR, announces an exciting new event! We are hosting Stem to Stern - Hull's Town-Wide Yard Sale Day on Saturday, September 7th, 2013. All Hull businesses, municipal entities, non-profits, religious organizations, and individuals are welcomed and encouraged to hold a yard sale on that day.
Signing up is easy! Here's what you need to know to participate:
- Each seller must register with HNCC to participate in Stem to Stern - Hull's Town Wide Yard Sale Day.
- You decide what to do with your income from the day- keep or donate to your favorite non-profit or charity; although hopefully they'll be holding their own Stem to Stern yard sale!
- Complete the application form and send it in along with your $10.00 sign-up fee.
Note: The fee is waived for members of the Hull Nantasket Chamber of Commerce.
- A Town of Hull yard sale permit is not required if you are signed up as a participant in Stem to Stern.
- When you register, your yard sale location will be listed on a promotional map for shoppers to use on yard sale day.
- You will receive event signs and fliers to post at your yard sale location.
- If you are holding your yard sale at your home, business, or building, you are all set! If you are an organization that needs to use Town or DCR property, please contact Town Hall or the DCR to make your own arrangements.
- Be nice to your neighbors. Let them know that you will be having a yard sale that day.
- Get ready to sell...sell...sell and have fun, fun, fun!
- After Stem to Stern, please remember:
- Take down all signs you put up. This is a special request from the Hull Police Department.
- Everything must be removed from the street after your yard sale. We don't want you to get a ticket for leaving trash on the street!
- This is a special request from the nice people at Wellspring Multi-Service Center: Do not bring your yard sale left-overs to Wellspring. If it didn't sell at your yard sale, it will not sell at Wellspring!
We envision yard sales all over town with visitors, tourists, and shoppers enjoying the whole day in Hull, including stopping in at local businesses and enjoying lunch or dinner at one of our many wonderful restaurants.
Speaking of restaurants and businesses, your participation is very much encouraged during Stem to Stern. Whether you have your own yard sale at your store, name a drink or menu item "Stem to Stern" or offer a coupon or discount, please sign up and let us know how we can help you market your business through Stem to Stern. We plan to have a full page of offers/coupons from HNCC member businesses that will be handed out at each yard sale location. Whether it is a percentage off the tab, a dollar discount, or a free order of Stem to Stern french fries, get your name out there and get customers in your shop or restaurant on Stem to Stern day.
This promises to be a great event for the whole town. With your participation, everyone will have a wonderful time on September 7th at Stem to Stern - Hull's Town-Wide Yard Sale Day! |
