Great Start to Quality Staff Spot Light

Hey!

My name is Mikaela Lamrouex. I am a Quality Improvement Specialist for Great Start to Quality, Kent Resource Center. I have been working here for just about seven years.

Before joining GSQ, I taught at Head Start, worked as a Lead Teacher/Director in childcare centers, and owned a Licensed Home Childcare Program in Wyoming. I have always loved working in Early Childhood!

2005, I received my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Baker College. Then, I returned to school and received my Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Development from

Western Michigan University.

I have been married 18 years, have two handsome teenage sons, and three baby dogs at home! I LOVE spending time with my family and dogs! You can find me cheering at my son's sporting events or out shopping. :)

Survey

Dear Michigan Parents, Early Care and Education Providers, and Social and Emotional /Mental Health Providers,

The Michigan Health Endowment Fund (MHEF) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) need your voice to promote Early Relational Health in every community across our state. As promoters of early relationships, we would like to learn from you.

Early Relational Health is the state of emotional well-being that grows from the positive emotional connection that babies and toddlers and their parents and caregivers experience with each other through everyday moments of caregiving and nurturing such as sharing a smile during bath time, engaging in back and forth cooing during diaper changing and snuggling while sharing a story at bedtime.

Please take 5 minutes of your time today to complete this online survey. Your voice matters, and we appreciate your time. All answers are unidentifiable and confidential.
