NEW ST. BERNARDS GREAT STORIES

Every person has an important story to tell. In healthcare, we believe the best stories come from patients. Don't miss the latest St. Bernards Great Stories. Randy, Sheila, Tony. #StBGreatStories

Randy Stevens had BPH, keeping him near a restroom. The Urology team at St. Bernards gave him "A New Outlook On Life" through Aquablation Therapy.

Sheila Lasley smoked for 50 years. A low-dose CT exam caught her lung cancer while it was still treatable. She says, "Early Detection Saves Lives."

Tony King had a foot ulcer that nearly led to amputation. When he visited St. Bernards Wound Healing, that's "When the Good News Started."

WHERE TO GO WHEN — URGENT CARE

Appointments with your Primary Care Physician are best, but we also know sickness and injuries don't watch the clock! At St. Bernards Urgent Care, we may have options that keep you and your family from going to the Emergency Department. Check out what we can treat at our FIVE Urgent Care clinics—the list may surprise you!

WE NEVER STOP INNOVATING AT ST. BERNARDS —

RECENT FIRSTS AND MILESTONES

Dr. Lynn Wiggins and team completed the first Robotic Ivor Lewis Esophagectomy in the state of Arkansas. This minimally-invasive surgery removes tumors of the esophagus as well as the affected portion of the organ, leaving patients with improved outcomes and better recovery times.

Dr. Devi Nair and team completed the first NuVision procedure in Arkansas, imaging cardiac structures from within the heart.

The NuVIsion procedure offers:

* Improved image quality;

* Lower complication rates;

* Improved patient experience with shorter in-room and procedure times;

* Decrease in anesthesia and/or sedation.

Dr. Jeffrey Cohen and Dr. Mark Sifford and team completed their 100th Zephyr Endobronchial Valve implant at St. Bernards, helping patients battling COPD improve lung function and breathe more easily. Drs. Cohen and Sifford place each Zephyr Valve within a patient's most diseased airways, allowing air and fluids to leave the lungs and preventing air from entering damaged lung parts.
