FAMU SJGC Students Selected to Participate in Inaugural Cohort

Congratulations to FAMUU SJGC students Shontae Day, Ja’Caiva Stephens and Cariane Geffard. They were invited to participate in the inaugural cohort for the Center for Journalism and Democracy’s Du Bois Data Lab. The Du Boise Data Lab, a collaboration between the Center and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York (CUNY), introduces HBCU students to data, design and coding tools meant to enhance their stories’ impact.

As dean of the School of Journalism & Communication (SJGC) at Florida A&M University (FAMU) I am deeply committed to supporting our students in their academic and professional journeys.
