PEP Receives Grant!
PEP received the Centennial Grant from Mennonite Central Committee to support wellness classes for returning citizens. Classes will be offered at our City Ave location. If you know of a returning citizen who would like to be a part, email pepoffice@eastern.edu.

FIELD TRIP
The Entrepreneurship class instructors, Iola Harper and Dr. Christa Lee-Chuvala, interviewed Eastern University graduate and owner of Down North Pizza, Muhammad Abdul Hadi. This provided SCI Chester students with an opportunity to learn from a formerly incarcerated person about the successes and challenges of business ownership. It was incredible to hear how this business also provides free food for children in the community, has a housing component, and uses art in the store to tell the stories of Philly neighborhoods. Oh, and the pizza is DELICIOUS!
