As I wrap up my year as President of the AFP Greater Dallas Chapter, I want to share my deepest gratitude. Serving a chapter as strong, vibrant, and committed as ours, with nearly 300 members, has been one of the great honors of my professional career.
This year has been full of meaningful moments that reflect the excellence of our fundraising community: monthly programs with excellent presenters, a phenomenal joint conference with our colleagues in Fort Worth, the continued growth and impact of Emerging Leaders, and a memorable National Philanthropy Day celebration. I also had the privilege of representing our chapter at AFP ICON in Seattle alongside several of our members, an experience that reminded me once again how respected and admired our Dallas community is on the national stage.
A special shout-out to our chapter administrator Madeleine Crouch and her team. Your steadfast support and partnership made this year both successful and truly enjoyable. My gratitude also goes to our chapter's bookkeeper Gay Selman at Madeleine Crouch & Co., Inc. Working with Gay is always a joy, and her professionalism and dedication elevate everything we do.
To the entire board, thank you. Your hard work, leadership, and commitment made all of this possible. It has been an honor to serve alongside each of you.
And finally, to my family, thank you for supporting me every step of the way. Your encouragement made it possible for me to give my best to this chapter.
As we close out the year, if you feel inclined and are able, I encourage you to support the chapter with a year-end gift through Be the Cause. Your generosity helps strengthen the mission and work of AFP not just locally, but across our entire sector.
It has truly been an honor to serve as your President. I’m excited for what’s ahead for the AFP Greater Dallas Chapter, and I know the chapter is in wonderful hands.
