Happy February! We’re off to a great start to the year with a near sell-out luncheon last month.
Mark your calendars for this year’s DFW Philanthropy in Action Conference, Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Irving Convention Center. Co-hosted with the Fort Worth Metro Chapter AFP, this is one of my personal favorite AFP programs.
The day will be jam-packed with learning and networking opportunities. We are bringing back the breakout sessions format that allows you to pick and choose the topics and speakers for sessions based on your specific interests and experience level. ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Daniel Roby has served as Chief Executive Officer of Austin Street Center since 2015. Daniel is a visible community advocate for the homeless, appointed by former Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, to serve on the City Commission on Homelessness. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance. In January 2018, the Dallas Business Journal selected Daniel as one of “40 Under 40” influencers in the Dallas/Fort Worth business community that the North Texas community should know. Daniel received his bachelor degree from Baylor University and has completed work towards his MBA in Nonprofit Management from Dallas Baptist University.
Learn how, under Daniel’s leadership, Austin Street Center has more than doubled its case management staff, created additional programs and services to help individuals successfully end their homelessness, and quadruple the number of clients exiting into housing has quadrupled.
