President's Message

Hello, Friends,

February is often seen as a season of love - a time to pause and reflect on relationships that bring meaning to our lives. As I think about this month, I find myself especially grateful for the friends and colleagues I’ve had the privilege of meeting through AFP.

Over the years, AFP has been more than a professional association for me. It’s been a place to build relationships that leave me encouraged, challenged, and fuel growth —not only as a fundraiser, but as a person. I’m continually reminded that this work is demanding, deeply relational, and not meant to be done alone.

When I look back, I realize many of those relationships began at the same place: the Philanthropy in Action Conference. Jointly hosted by the AFP Greater Dallas and Fort Worth chapters, this conference has been one of the most meaningful spaces for learning, connecting, and community-building across our region. Whether it was a conversation between sessions, a shared takeaway from a speaker, or a simple introduction that grew into an ongoing connection, it has consistently been a highlight of my AFP experience.

This year, I want to invite you to make some of those connections for yourself.

Join us for the 2026 Philanthropy in Action Conference on June 23–24. Come to learn, grow, and connect with the people who make our fundraising community strong.

I hope to see you there.

Warm regards,
