President's Message
Dear Friends,

November is the perfect time to say thank you.

Thank you to our members, sponsors, supporters and friends, and especially to my fellow board members, without their unwavering dedication to this chapter and this work, I am not sure where we would be. In the midst of a global pandemic, we have worked collectively to deliver relevant programming, trainings, networking opportunities and leadership development courses that you have come to expect and rely on for your professional development and growth. Additionally, thanks to Communities Foundation of Texas and AFP Global, we were also able to grant 28 scholarships to help strengthen and diversify the pipeline of development professionals. Thank you to everyone who has worked to make these opportunities possible.

Now, as we get closer to the end of the calendar year, I am once again reminded of the great work and the generous spirit of individuals, foundations and corporations throughout our communities who give selflessly of their time, talents and treasure. So it’s only fitting that during this month of thanksgiving, we give thanks and honor some of these remarkable individuals and institutions during our 35th Annual National Philanthropy Day Virtual Awards Program, which will be a time for celebration and inspiration. Just added to our program is John Olajide, President and CEO of Axxess and current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Regional Chamber. Mr. Olajide will provide keynote remarks on the importance of giving back and lifting up our communities to make this city a better, more vibrant place for us all.

Tickets and tables are still available. Please consider this opportunity to join us and show your support to the honorees and for your AFP Greater Dallas Chapter. Additionally, if you register by November 10th you will be entered in a drawing to win a 10.2-inch Apple iPad (your ticket also includes a complimentary admission to one of our 2021 luncheon programs).

There are three ways to attend and support 2020 National Philanthropy Day:
