Known in the Dallas faith, business and media communities as a social entrepreneur and committed servant to the people of East and South Dallas, Larry James came to CitySquare in 1994 after serving 14 years as senior minister with the Richardson East Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas. He is a graduate of Harding University and Harding University Graduate School of Religion, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Tulane University. His first full-length book, The Wealth of the Poor, has been published by Leafwood Publishers. Larry and wife, Brenda, have made their home in the inner city since January 1999. As a Program Director for Entrepreneurs for North Texas (EFNT), Sejal Desai helps member companies with their community engagement activities and serves on NTFB's Philanthropy Council. Sejal is also the founder and CEO of SevaYatra, a social venture that coordinates social issue focused educational trips and service project opportunities at NGOs in India. She is a board member for the DFW South Asian Film Festival, serves as a mentor at United Way's GroundFloor program and is a member of the American India Foundation's DFW Leadership Council. Sejal holds a master's degree in liberal studies from Southern Methodist University, a master's in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and she is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Dr. John Siburt is President and Chief Operations Officer of CitySquare and oversees ACU@CitySquare, a partnership between CitySquare and Abilene Christian University. John earned three degrees from Abilene Christian University, including BA in Christian Ministry, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry. John completed the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership offered jointly by the Center for Nonprofit Management and Southern Methodist University. He has served on the board of Christian Works for Children, the advisory board for New Friends/New Life, and on the leadership team of the Dallas Justice Revival. Hussain Manjee is President & Chief Success Officer of DHD Films. As featured in CNN Money, Inc. Magazine and Yahoo Finance, his strategic approach and business acumen have propelled DHD Films from a start-up to a thriving business. Hussain earned his MBA from the entrepreneurship program at Babson College. He was recently recognized by the Dallas Business Journal with the 2014 Minority Business Leader Award and is an alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. He serves on the Board of Advisors, Communications Council and the Small Business Council for the Dallas Regional Chamber. His dedicated service has afforded him multiple opportunities to discuss the President's economic priorities at the White House. Anne Robillard, CFRE, is a fundraising consultant with M. Gale & Associates and a member of the Greater Dallas AFP Board of Directors.

President's Message
Dear Friends,
Every month I use this forum to tout the fantastic programs, educational opportunities and professional development sessions that are available to you, members of the Greater Dallas Chapter of AFP. This will be no exception. I hope you were part of the crowd that attended last month's luncheon program meeting with representatives of The Richards Group. They brought us the latest information on social media and analytics and how to more effectively reach donors who use social media. If you were there, you participated in our own social media campaign. Amber George, our PR Chair, was on hand to encourage everyone to Tweet or Facebook or use other social media platforms to get the word out about AFP.
This month our program will focus on inclusion and diversity. Go to www.afpdallas.org to learn more and to register for this informative and important program. The first participant in our Mentoring Program that started last fall will complete the program this month. We are proud of board member Jessica Weidman, Mentor Chair, for her successful first year. The next class will begin in September, so check our website for more information on joining this program either as a mentee or mentor.
The DFW Philanthropy In Action Conference is June 12th at the Irving Convention Center. This one-day conference is your best opportunity to learn from the pros, sharpen your skills, and come away with a renewed commitment to the fundraising profession.
All of these programs, educational opportunities, and professional development courses are paid for, in part, by a portion of your membership. AFP Now! is our annual fundraising campaign. We need your support to continue the work we do on your behalf. You will be receiving email appeals and we will be asking for your support at our monthly luncheons. We will have door prizes and other enticements but I know a gift card for a latte is not the reason you will give to AFP Now! You support the Greater Dallas AFP because it is important to you, your colleagues and your career. Make your donation to AFP Now!, now.
Sincerely,
Diana Marquis, CFRE
2015 Greater Dallas AFP President
