Weekly Council Newsletter - Jan. 28, 2022
Greater Hudson Valley Council
We are sorry to inform you that due to the weather forecast, we have decide to postpone the Webelos Klondike Derby at Durland. We will be rescheduling the event for Saturday, February 26 at Durland. If that date does not work for you, please contact the Council Service Center and we will refund your fees. We are very sorry for this adjustment, but feel it is better and safer for all our Scouts and Leaders.
The Greater Hudson Valley's Merit Badge College is coming to Scout BSA registered scouts on Saturday, March 19th at Kennedy Catholic Prep in Somers, NY. Merit Badge College offers scouts an opportunity to meet with highly qualified professionals to learn and foster the development of lifelong interests. Earning a MB is not guaranteed. No requirements will be excused or "gifted". The Catalog is attached here and can be found in the Resource section under the event link. Scouts and parents can review the Catalog and can be prepared when registration opens on Tuesday.
Class size is limited this year due to Covid-19. This event fills up fast!

  • Advancement Changes: As always, the BSA’s top priority is the health and safety of all youth participating in BSA programs. Effective March 01, 2022, those modifications will be removed, and the standard rules for advancement and merit badges will again become effective. Additional information on Covid policies, please click HERE.
