The Tennessee Senior Olympics Staff and Williamson County Parks & Recreation welcome you to the 2025 Greater Nashville District Senior Olympics.



In this e-mail, you will find information about each event. Please read through the e-mail carefully as most questions should be answered.



Venue addresses are included at the end.

EVENT INFORMATION



BASKETBALL SKILL EVENTS - CHANGE in schedule- ALL skill participants need to report at 9:00 am


Free Throw/3 Point/Hot Shot

Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025

Time: Check-in at 8:30am

Order of events: 9:00am Free throw, followed by 3 Point, followed by Hot Shot.

Location: Franklin Recreation Complex

1120 Hillsboro Road, Franklin, TN 37064

(Off Hillsboro Rd. on Fulton Greer Lane, just north of

Mack Hatcher Hwy.)

Equipment: Players must use equipment provided

The format is as follows: Free throw and 3 Point - best of 10 shots. One or two practice throws will be allowed prior to the official count if the participant desires. In the hotshot, five spots are marked at locations on the court. The competitor has one minute to score as many points as possible from these marks that are worth between 2 and 5 points.

PARTICIPANT LISTS will be available on-site at the venue.

Water fountains and refillable stations are available. Please bring a water bottle.




BASKETBALL 3 ON 3

Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025

Time: Men's teams report at 1:00 p.m/Women's 2:30pm.

Location: Franklin Recreation Complex

1120 Hillsboro Road, Franklin, TN 37064

(Off Hillsboro Rd. on Fulton Greer Lane, just north of

Mack Hatcher Hwy.)

Equipment: Players must use equipment provided. Shirts with numbers on the front and back are required.

Water fountains and refillable stations are available. Please bring a water bottle.






BOWLING

Date/Times:

Monday, September 22: 9:00am Singles 70+; 12:00pm Singles 50-69

Tuesday, September 23: Mixed 9:00 am; Doubles 12:00p.m.

Location: Franklin Entertainment Center

Bowling starts at game time. Warm-ups are 10 minutes prior.

CORNHOLE SINGLES/DOUBLES/MIXED (indoor courts)

Date: Friday, September 26, 2025

Starting times:

9:00am- Mixed Doubles

10:00 am- Men's and Women's Doubles

10:30 am- Singles

GOLF

Thursday, September 25, 2025

Time: 8:00am Shotgun

Location: Pine Creek Golf Course, 1835 Logue Rd, Mount Juliet, TN 37122

PARTICIPATION LIST will be available on-site at venue.

Check-in at the course at 7:00am.

Triple Bogey Rule: A triple bogey maximum will be allowed at each hole. Balls should be picked up once this occurs and score should be recorded. 

Range balls - a small basket of balls is included. 

Tees:

Women: Red

Men: 80+       Red

Men 70+         Gold

Men 50-69      Black

Food: The grill will be open, and meals are on your own.





PICKLEBALL

Pickleball:  Monday, September 22 - Wednesday, September 24

Please note that MOST matches will be at Maryland Farms, except for a few mixed doubles age groups on Tuesday, 9/23 scheduled for the Franklin Rec Complex.

Only 9 players registered so shuffleboard will NOT be held at the district games. It will be considered an "open" sport at the state finals for Greater Nashville athletes.


However, stayed tuned for an open play opportunity sometime in the spring of 2026 where we hope to attract more players.


SWIMMING

Date: Tuesday, September 23, 2025

Time: 9:00 a.m. (check-in will start at 8:15am)

Location: Indoor Sports Complex

TRACK AND FIELD

Dates: Saturday, September 27, 2025

Location: Brentwood High School

Start Times: Running events- 9:00 a.m.

Order of running events:

100M Run, 1500M Run, 200M Run, Power Walk*, 50M Run, 400M Run, 800M Run.


Power walkers*: Our Power Walk judge would like to train others to help officiate. Please consider attending a training the day before the meet to help out. You don't have to be a power walker to learn!

Please note that the BHS band will be practicing in the parking lot behind the 2nd ticket booth/soccer field. So, it will be closed that day.

2026 STATE FINALS ELIGIBILITY NOTE and 2027 Nationals


Per the TSO Board, participation in a 2025 District Games will be required to qualify for the 2026 State Finals. The 2026 State Finals is a qualifier for the 2027 Nationals.



Attending our 2025 Districts will be a vital step towards qualifying for the 2026 State Finals! This is not just a requirement; it’s an incredible opportunity for growth, competition, and connection. By participating in the district competitions, you’ll not only enhance your skills but also immerse yourself in the wonderful camaraderie that our community fosters. Together, we can embrace the joy of movement, fitness, and shared experiences.

Support your fall 2025 district and make the most of this journey toward health and wellness.


2026 STATE FINALS INFORMATION

  • Information and exact dates for the 2026 Tennessee Senior Olympics State Finals will be posted at www.tnseniorolympics.com by early 2025.
  • District participants will participate and qualify in age divisions that match the state finals age determination. The age at the district will be determined by the athlete’s age as of December 31 of the next calendar year. Athletes must be 50 years old by December 31, 2026, to compete in the 2026 state finals.
  •  *OPEN SPORTS exceptions: The following sports do not require district participation to register for the 2026 State Finals. Basketball 3 on 3, Basketball Skills, Disc Golf, Archery, Cycling (5K, 20K, 40K). Powerlifting, Powerwalk, Road Races (1 mile Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, 10K Run), Pole Vault, Triple Jump, Volleyball, and any sport NOT offered at your district.
