For the second consecutive year, the NFL will return to Orlando to celebrate the league’s best players at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games presented by Verizon. As in past years, the Pro Bowl Games provides fans with an unmatched opportunity to vote for their favorite players to compete in a multi-day AFC versus NFC competition, featuring Pro Bowl Skills and culminating in an action-packed flag football game. The AFC is led by head coach Peyton Manning, while the NFC is led by head coach Eli Manning.

  • The League of American Bicyclists awarded the City of Orlando the Silver Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) designation, joining nearly 100 communities across the country contributing to the movement for a more bicycle-friendly America. This recognition highlights Orlando’s commitment to improving and expanding its bicycle network while promoting healthier and more efficient travel options.
  • Orange County Public Schools has announced it will soon build a $18.18 million facility located near Baldwin Park to house transportation and maintenance workers, according to Orlando Business Journal. The new facility will replace the existing administration building and have office space for 50 to 60 staff, employee lounges and storage warehouses. Construction is expected to start in 2026 and be significantly completed in 2027.  
  • Addition Financial Arena, located on the University of Central Florida campus, recorded one of the most successful years in its history highlighted by impressive attendance milestones and record-breaking shows. In 2024, the arena welcomed 533,884 visitors to 297 events, including 80 ticketed events and countless graduations and commencements. With ticket sales in excess of $6.6 million, Addition Financial Arena reached notable standing as compared to entertainment industry magazine Pollstar’s year-end rankings.
  • The City of Orlando has decided to extend its Park DTO program through 2025 in an effort to support local business and increase foot traffic downtown. The program offers free two-hour parking at all metered and non-metered parking spaces downtown through the city's ParkMobile application. Once you've downloaded the application, enter "ParkDTO" to claim free parking at your preferred parking space.
  • Orlando Health has announced the expansion of its "opioid navigator" program in certain local hospitals, which helps connect people who end up in the ER for overdose with follow-up resources and treatment options. The expansion is being funded by Orange County with money received through national settlements reached with opioid manufacturers and distributors.
  • The City of Winter Park has shared plans and renderings to refresh Park Avenue, the popular retail and dining corridor located near Rollins College. Work will be carried out in various phases, with Phase 1 expected to begin in April of this year. Some recommended updates include gateway signage, entry lighting, fixing drainage areas, landscaping and more.
  • Local businesses Freehand Goods and Impress Ink have teamed up to raise funds for the California Wildfire Fund following the out-of-control fires in the Pacific Palisades of Los Angeles. The two entities have launched a fundraiser called "Coast to Coast" featuring a t-shirt design of a bear and a gator; representing California and Florida respectively.
  • The Michelin Guide recently added four new Orlando restaurants to its growing list of Florida venues, including Coro Restaurant in Audubon Park, Sorekara in Baldwin Park, UniGirl in Mills Market, and OMO by JONT in Winter Park. Visit Florida launched a partnership with the French tire manufacturer turned restaurant guide back in 2021 to highlight Florida's highest-rated restaurants.

The NWSL Champion Orlando Pride will host the Washington Spirit in the NWSL Challenge Cup on March 7, 2025 at Inter&Co Stadium! Due to the Orlando Pride claiming both the regular season and playoff titles in 2024, the 2025 NWSL Challenge Cup will serve as a rematch of the 2024 NWSL Championship between the Pride and the Washington Spirit. Information regarding general public on sale will be available at a later date.

  • The Epcot International Festival of the Arts continues at Walt Disney World as the festival showcases visual, theatrical and culinary arts for theme park visitors. New this year, the "Once Upon A Stage: Celebrating 30 Years of Disney on Broadway" walk-through exhibit features costumes, set models and behind-the-scenes items from their stage productions. The festival runs daily through Feb. 24 and the exhibit is located in the new CommuniCore Hall.
  • Universal Orlando's Stella Nova Resort is now open to the public and is the first part of the Epic Universe to debut. The new 750-room hotel is Universal Orlando's ninth hotel, and will be joined by the neighboring Terra Luna Resort on Mar. 25 and the Helios Grand Hotel on May 22, opening alongside the debut of the Epic Universe theme park.
  • SeaWorld Orlando will observe Elmo's birthday on its Sesame Street Land on Monday, Feb. 3. Festivities include story time with Elmo in the VIP Parade Viewing Area, a craft area for making birthday cards, photo opportunities with several Sesame Street characters, and the singing of Happy Birthday. Elmo's birthday festivities are included with regular SeaWorld admission.
  • Art After Dark is returning to the Downtown Arts District on Saturday, Mar. 8 from 7:00 - 10:00pm, promising an unforgettable evening of art, culture, and live entertainment perfect for young professionals and the young at heart. Guests can enjoy live music and explore CityArts’ seven stunning galleries and café, each featuring brand-new works by talented Orlando artists.
  • Addition Financial Arena has announced it will host Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for their "Restless Leg" Tour on March 29, 2025 at 7:00pm. Fans will see the duo celebrate their thirty years of friendship with an evening of jokes, iconic stories and conversational entertainment. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Jan. 31 at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.
  • Join Orlando Main Streets for a week-long celebration of Orlando’s incredible craft beer scene with the Orlando Beer Week Main Street ALE-Liance, running this week from Jan. 25th to Feb. 2nd.
