The race will take place on Sunday, February 4 at 7:30 a.m. starting at Lake Eola Park, the day after the 2024 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and utilizing parts of the same course.

• The Orlando Magic and guard Cole Anthony have agreed to a contract extension, a league source confirmed to the Sentinel. The contract extension is worth $39 million, lasts three years through the 2026-27 season, with a team option in the final year.
• Join the Cure Bowl team on Sunday, October 29 for the 15th Annual Strikeout Breast Cancer bowling event. Support the cause of bringing teams together to find a cure for cancer by purchasing a lane! • The Florida Department of Transportation has extended its Train-To-The-Game program with SunRail. Which offers later train services on weeknights when Orlando Magic hosts a home game. The program launched in 2022, giving fans another transportation option to get safely in and out of downtown Orlando during the game.

• Orange County Commissioners unanimously approved the most money ever for the cultural tourism grant program on Tuesday — nearly $4.2 million. More organizations than ever were recommended to receive the funding, said Terry Olson, administrator of Orange County’s Arts & Cultural Affairs department, and some received extra money through a new initiative to encourage established cultural entities to work with up-and-coming groups spotlighting cultural diversity.
• Blink-182 fans might be asking themselves 'what's my age again?' when the longtime pop-punk outfit embarks on a North American stadium and arena tour next year. The band, which recently ventured on a global tour to debut their new album, “One More Time…”, will appear at Amway Center on June 20 to kick off their 30-city tour with special guests Pierce the Veil.
• Bloomberg Philanthropies announced that Orlando was one of eight recipients nationwide of a $1 million grant to support temporary public art projects to support local civic issues. Orlando will be using the funds to support an installation entitled, “Art Pollination: Building Food Justice Through Creativity.” The collaborative project will feature local non-profits.
• The Orlando Museum of Art has just announced that it has received a grant from the Art Bridges Foundation through its “Access for All” program to help offer free admission to Central Floridians and visitors. The museum will now host a new Access for All Third Thursdays series, where they will offer a day of free admission, launching in January 2024. 
• Disney Cruise Line is delving once again into the nostalgia vault with a bar inspired by the Haunted Mansion theme park attraction coming on board new cruise ship Disney Treasure when it debuts from Port Canaveral in 2024. Haunted Mansion Parlor is a new concept that will serve up macabre drink concoctions in an expansion of the stories told at Disneyland, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and other Disney parks around the world.
• The Space Coast was treated to a record 58th launch out over the Atlantic on Saturday night as SpaceX sent up yet another late-night Starlink mission from Cape Canaveral. A Falcon 9 carrying 23 more of its internet satellites lifted off from Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex 40 at 10:17 p.m. on a southerly trajectory.

• The Thornton Park Main Street will host its 10th Annual Halloween Block Party on Sat., October 28 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event will take place on Washington Street, which will be closed to vehicle traffic all night. 
• The Mennello Museum of American Art will host its 9th Annual Indie-Folkfest, from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, October 28 in its sculpture gardens. Indie-Folkfest is the Mennello Museum’s signature outdoor event and features local, regional, and national art, music, and cuisine, on the shores of Lake Formosa.
• In partnership with AdventHealth, the City District Main Street is launching Orlando’s first adult Downtown Orlando Field Day on Thursday, Nov. 2. This classic event will feature old school competitions with an intentional local flair. The City District Main Street, alongside title sponsor AdventHealth, Red Lobster, City Beverage, Orlando Utilities Commission and community partners including, the Downtown Development Board.
• Maker Faire Orlando will bring its annual celebration of do-it-yourself science, art, robots, and tech to the Central Florida Fairgrounds on November 4 and 5. The two-day annual festival will showcase local makers ranging from tech enthusiasts to garage scientists to crafters with hundreds of exhibits, combat robots, and more.
• The Festival of Trees, Nov. 11-19, presented by the Council of 101 kicks off the holiday season with dozens of designer-inspired decorated trees at Orlando Museum of Art. This year’s theme is “Enchanted Holidays,” with special events including breakfast with Santa, an ugly sweater day and a Reindeer Romp party.
• Legoland Florida is introducing a seasonal pass that allows unlimited admission to the Winter Haven theme park through Christmas Day. The Monster-to-Merry Season Ticket is now on sale for $119 per person. It covers a time period that includes Legoland’s Brick or Treat Halloween festivities, which launch Saturday, and its holiday celebration, which begins Nov. 24, the day after Thanksgiving.
• SeaWorld Orlando is again offering an extended Fun Card deal. Buyers now get unlimited visits to the theme park for the rest of 2023 and all of 2024. The price is $131.99. A version also includes admission to the Aquatica water park through the end of 2024, and it sells for $189.99.
