• The Orlando Magic have secured their second straight Southeast Division title and earned the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference standings following the team's 96-76 victory over the Boston Celtics Wednesday night. The Magic (40-40) have two regular season games remaining before they will host the No. 8 seed (TBD) at Kia Center on Tuesday, April 15. The winner of that contest will face the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.
• FIFA has announced the United States will be the host country for the 2031 Women's World Cup in six years. • The Osceola Magic defeated the Stockton Kings 129-118 on Tuesday night to take a 1-0 series lead in the NBA G League Finals. The team will now travel to Stockton this Friday, April 10, with a chance to clinch the title. If necessary, a third and final game would be played back in Orlando at Osceola Heritage Park on Monday, April 14 at 8:00pm.
• Orlando City SC extended its unbeaten streak to four games following a scoreless draw against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night. The Lions (3-2-2, 11 points) will now return home to Inter&Co Stadium for a match against the New York Red Bulls this Saturday, April 12 at 4:30pm.
• The Orlando Pride have returned from international break and now travel to face Seattle Reign FC this Saturday, April 12 at 7:30pm. The Pride (3-0-0, 9 points) have started the regular season with three straight wins, marking the first time in Club history they have done so.
• The Orlando Solar Bears announced forward Spencer Kersten has been named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team for the 2024-25 season. Kersten, 24, is just the second Solar Bear in history to be named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team, ranking third in ECHL rookie point scoring (54) and tied for fourth in goals (24).
• The Orlando Valkyries return home for a two-match homestand, starting with facing the Grand Rapids Rise TONIGHT, April 10 at 7:00pm. The Valkyries (12-9) will then host the Atlanta Vibe at Addition Financial Arena this Saturday, April 12 at 7:00pm, click here for access to 15% off tickets.

• Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can now skip the airport check-in line with the company’s Luggage Assistance service. The pilot service is available at select resorts with Southwest Airlines flights departing from Orlando International Airport (MCO). The Luggage Assistance service allows guests to drop off their checked bags at their resort hotel. The luggage is then delivered to Southwest Airlines at MCO, where guests can head directly to their flight.
• UCF Football head coach Scott Frost and his family are donating $500,000 to the athletic department's Competitive Success Fund. The fund was established to help the school raise money for a new revenue-sharing model set to begin July 1, pending final approval. Most Division I schools are participating in the $2.8 billion NCAA v. House settlement, and those schools are moving towards a revenue-sharing model that pays athletes a percentage of revenue based on individual sports.
• Popular traveling TV show "Bar Rescue" has made its way to downtown Orlando and will be filming at Game Room & Social Club through Sunday, April 13. The program stars Jon Taffer, a seasoned food and beverage consultant, who comes in and helps turn struggling bars around. Bar owners apply to be “rescued,” and then, based on the opinions of his team, Taffer decides where to go.
• A request has been filed with the City of Orlando to build a hotel with retail and restaurant space near The Mall of Millenia, according to Orlando Business Journal. The plan calls for a 303,372-square-foot hotel with more than 300 units, as well as 7,000 square feet of retail space, a restaurant, and spa. Found on the west side of Interstate 4, the property is close to Universal Orlando and stands to benefit from the opening of Epic Universe.
• The Orange County Clerk of Courts has decided to expand its "Self Help" legal assistance program to its newly opened courthouse in Winter Park. Orange County Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell opened the county's first Self Help Center in 2015 at the main courthouse in downtown Orlando. As a partnership with the Orange County Bar Association, the program offers professional attorney consultations and other legal services for $1 a minute.
• Florida native Deanna Doane has set the fastest known time on the Florida National Scenic Trail after completing the 1,100 mile trail in under 20 days. Averaging 57 miles per day, she arrived at the trail's northern terminus just 19 days, 12 hours and 13 minutes after she started. The trail begins in South Florida, travels through Sanford and up to Palatka, then cuts west towards Pensacola and finishes in the panhandle.

• Universal Orlando is now offering annual passholders the chance to purchase one-day preview tickets to Epic Universe, its new theme park set to debut on May 22 of this year. Guests staying at a Universal Orlando hotel, Universal Rewards Signature Visa Card members, and active 2025 Military Freedom Pass ticket holders can also purchase preview tickets.
• Walt Disney World has announced both of its water parks will be open to guests at the same time for the first time since the COVID-19 era began. The resort's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be available to the public starting May 21, the Wednesday before Memorial Day. Both water parks feature slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, splash pads and other watery attractions alongside food and beverage offerings.
• Aquatica, SeaWorld Orlando's water park, is gearing up for its springtime event named "Aloha to Summer Celebration." The programming will include sand-castle artists, a family-friendly dance party and games such as cornhole and ring toss (with prizes), all preceded by a welcome celebration with leis and tropical punch. The festivities, included with regular Aquatica admission, will be available on Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, May 11.
• The Orlando Science Center is hosting "$15 Day" this Sunday, April 13, offering a 50% discount compared to general ticket pricing. The ticket includes all four levels of the science center, including big-screen films and the current exhibit, "Top Secret: License to Spy," which features spy gadgets, puzzles, hands-on experiments and the past and future of espionage.

• The 34th annual Florida Film Festival kicks off this Friday, April 11 at the Enzian Theater and Regal Winter Park Village. • The 2025 Golden Brick Awards, presented by AdventHealth, is set to take place in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
