Buffalo Market relocates headquarters from Bay Area to Greater Sacramento

Buffalo Market, an online farm-to-door delivery grocery store startup, will be moving its headquarters from the Bay Area to Greater Sacramento. The company is looking to add up to 400 jobs in the region within the next two years.

Plans for Aggie Square move forward

The Sacramento City Council unanimously passed a resolution of intention to establish the Aggie Square Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD), a crucial step towards making the project economically viable. Aggie Square will go before the UC Board of Regents Nov. 17-19. If approved, construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2021. The developers for Aggie Square also announced that commercial real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield will handle office leasing for the project.

Greater Sacramento Economic Forecast: November

In the past five months, the Greater Sacramento regional unemployment rate has trended downward. In September the rate was 8.7% compared to 9.2% in August and 11.7% in July. The region’s September unemployment rate falls in-between California’s rate of 10.8% and the national average of 7.7%. Combined employment in the region increased by 7,600 to 1,043,800 jobs.
