Greater Trenton's Upcoming Capital City Economic Outlook Event Happening on May 23, 2019
Note from the CEO
Spring is in the air as we move from frigid to warmer weather and highlight Trenton's potential as a hotspot for development at our first annual Capital City Economic Outlook event happening on May 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at New Jersey Realtors. The event is currently open for registration via our website at greatertrenton.org/CapitalCEO . We would like to recognize Bryn Mawr Trust for agreeing to be this year's presenting sponsor!

Also, next month all of us here at Greater Trenton will be transitioning into our new recently-purchased and fully-renovated home located at 124 West State, across the street and just one number away from the State Capitol building's 125 West State Street address.

As part of this move, we secured a new and memorable phone number: 609-GREATER or 609-473-2837 . This number will replace our current phone number: 609-777-1770.

As you'll see in this month's newsletter, there are a number of great events coming up throughout the city from Indian music performances at CURE Insurance Arena to Pork Roll Festivals and beyond.
Check out TrentonDaily.com for vast stories of progress and opportunities in New Jersey's State Capital. If you have a Trenton-focused story to share, please contact our Vice President of Marketing, Bryan Evans who also serves as the publication's Editor-in-Chief at bevans@greatertrenton.org.

We thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to continuing great work and momentum in 2019 and beyond.

Best,

George

Greater Trenton's New HQ: One Address Away from the State Capitol Building
Greater Trenton's recently acquired and newly renovated headquarters is located at 124 West State Street, just one number away from the New Jersey State Capitol building located at 125 West State. Well-positioned between the soon to be renovated Capitol building in its front yard and the new Department of Health and Agriculture facility in its back yard, Greater Trenton's new location is immediately surrounded by $425 million in development.

Currently undergoing interior and exterior renovations, Greater Trenton's headquarters will feature highly-efficient systems including HVAC and LED lighting to create economical and sustainable efficiencies throughout the building.
"We're excited about the utilization of this building as our headquarters, but also as a shining symbol of our sustained commitment to Trenton's revitalization," said George Sowa, CEO of Greater Trenton. "We are pleased to use local and MBE firms whenever possible to complete our renovation."

With key improvements throughout including new flooring, a new fire escape, painting inside and out, new signage, security system updates, and new wooden exterior windows, 124 West State will be completely transformed while also preserving its historic glory.

Greater Trenton received formal approval from NJEDA for a $20,000 grant to apply toward exterior and first floor improvements. In addition, Greater Trenton hopes to receive $2,500 from Trenton Downtown Association for facade improvements.
