I believe this will be our 14th trip to Greece and I'm always happy to repeat it.

We'll land in Athens on a Tuesday. Once we check in to our hotel we'll take a walk to the famous Plaka where you can enjoy strolling, shopping and eating. The next morning we'll enjoy a tour of the Acropolis, home of the Parthenon (included in your package).

On Thursday morning we’ll fly over to the island of Crete. Crete is the birthplace of the first European civilization, the Minoan, which flourished between 3000 BC and 1200 BC. Even today, the majestic palace of Knossos reflect the splendor of the Minoan civilization through architectural, pottery, jewelry and painting masterpieces. We will be staying in Chania which is in and of itself a work of art and known as the Venice of Crete. Much of the old town district of Chania was developed around its harbor, which was built by the Venetians during the 14th century. Its lighthouse still proudly overlooks the Mediterranean. You will love our hotel here and the tours which are included.

After our 3-days in Crete we will ferry over to Santorini. There is not a more magical island in the world You will absolutely fall in love with it. We will have 4-days to enjoy our tours which include a full day bus and boat to that will take us to the highlights as well as the caldera as well as Akrotiri where excavations brought to light a Minoan town preserved under the pumice for 3000 years. We'll take in the famous sunset at Oia and you'll have a free day to decide how you'd like to spend it which an optional catamaran tour or perhaps renting a scooter or quad to tour on your own. Once again, you'll love our hotel there which is super convenient to everything in Fira.

Finally, we'll ferry over to Mykonos which could perhaps end up being your favorite island. This island is not only picturesque with its white buildings and blue trim, the narrow meandering streets with cutes shops and restaurants and famous windmills, it’s also THE place for nightlife with many Europeans who come here. We’ll have an included half-day tour of the island of Delos, which is an entire city of ruins with no current inhabitants. We'll have a free day here as well where it’s also fun to rent a scooter, quad or car and tour Mykonos and spend the day at one of the most beautiful, as well as hip and happening beaches in the Mediterranean. 

We depart Mykonos on Sunday morning back to Athens and fly back that same day. This is the ideal introduction to the jewels of the Aegean.

We did this trip back in 2022 so it will have been 4 years ago. The trip was perfect so we are making very few changes.

We will depart the US on October 15th and arrive in Naples the next day. We start this tour off with 5 relaxing nights in Sorrento. I say relaxing because some of our Europe trips have been somewhat busy and rushed. This trip will offer plenty of time to explore in smaller groups and at your own pace.

One of the included tours will be hired vans for a full day tour of the Amalfi Coast. This will make it easy for us to visit some of the other quaint villages nestled in the hillsides along the Amalfi coast at our own pace. It's a spectacular ride that takes you along the sea as the road wiggles in and out hundreds of feet above the water. This road was completed in 1852 and is a seemingly improbably engineering feat. Gorgeous vistas appear along these almost 25 miles stretching from Sorrento to Vietri. Some of the notable towns on the drive include the nearby Positano, that's built like a steep amphitheater this town's only job is to look enchanting. Offering a dazzling layer cake of civilizations this medieval city is so picturesque it will practically click your camera for you.

Another included tour will include wonderful day tour out to the island of Procida. Then, one of the optional tours you may be interested in would be to see the Amalfi Coast by sea. In the past we've hired beautiful wooden boats to take us for the day. This might be best set up while we're there however to make sure the sea is calm.

The other days we will offer optional tours to the island of Ischa.

After our 5-days in Sorrento we'll ferry over to the beautiful island of Capri, one of my personal favorite islands in the world. It's incomparable views and natural wonders - are not-to-be-missed sites on this fabled isle. With 3 full days and 4-nights here we'll have ample time to enjoy everything that this charming island has to offer.

Our hotel is right in the center of Capri Town giving us full access to the shopping and amazing restaurants on the hill. Another included tour will be a complete tour of Capri including a visit to the famous Blue Grotto,(weather permitting) Arco Naturale, Faraglioni, three pale-ocher limestone colossi that loom out of the sea soaring 350 feet above the water, and Certosa di San Giacomo, a grand, palatial complex that was for centuries a Carthusian monastery just recently re-opened after a major renovation. You will also enjoy some great down time here where you might enjoy strolling the town.

Finally, we're capping off our trip with 1 night in Naples where we will offer an optional visit to Pompeii and take in this very historic city.
