IT’S GREAT TO SEE people continue to return to in-person worship! Most adults have received their vaccinations and the number of cases and hospitalizations in Tyler continues to decline. God is answering our prayers! Last Sunday was our highest worship attendance (3,522) since before Covid (except for Easter, of course). God continues to send us new members and many prospective members. You are doing a great job inviting people. Last Sunday, a new couple told me they were invited to Green Acres ten times in their first week in Tyler...
A NOTE FROM PASTOR MICHAEL
One of the things I love most about Green Acres is that we understand the value of being the church. There is a significant difference in “doing” church and “being” church. James 1:22 teaches that we are to “be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” The call is to action and the action is to live out the word in a way that the Gospel of Jesus is seen clearly. We want to be a church that if the doors ever closed, the community would mourn our absence. This is why we are taking the time and resources to make “Serve Day” a reality...
