Paper Shredding Events Offered By County and Local Municipalities
It might be below 0 outside recently but DuPage County is already looking forward to Spring. In partnership with several municipalities and townships across DuPage, the County is providing co-sponsorship funds for several document shredding events this year. These events are open to all DuPage County residents regardless of host entity. The earliest events will be the City of Wheaton on April 6th and Elmhurst College on April 13th. Several more will be held at other times throughout the summer and fall. Check our events page  https://www.dupageco.org/recyclingevents/  for participating communities and their details.
Holiday Light Recycling Offered Year-Round at SCARCE
In case you missed your local drop-off, this is a friendly reminder that at SCARCE it's always holiday light recycling season. If you have string lights, extension cords or cables to recycle outside of the holiday season you can bring them to SCARCE year-round. View a list of what we accept.
Recycling can be very confusing. Help your patrons learn the do's and don'ts with our interactive exhibit that demystifies how to recycle or safely dispose of items around the home.

The "Where is Away?" exhibit is currently available for loan to libraries that serve DuPage County residents.  Learn more.
