Partners distribute books at Lutheran Church of the Master food pantry in Carol Stream.
SCARCE is proud to work with a network of volunteers and community partners to distribute gently-used and new books to our neighbors in need at local food pantries. Together, we can feed hungry minds and bodies while caring for our planet.

Do you work with a food pantry that can get books to those in need? Contact us to get started.
Local government is getting it done! Downers Grove is recognized for their green vehicles, West Chicago brings composting to town, and Clarendon Hills is featuring sustainability at their new commuter station.
The Village of Downers Grove was recognized for sustainable fleet.
West Chicago has added a curbside composting option for residents.
Clarendon Hills broke ground on a new train station with a focus on sustainability.
