Calendar Cover Revealed!
Each Fall the beloved Green Chimneys Animal Calendar arrives.
See which four-legged friend is our cover star for 2013.

A Hole in One

We couldn't be more thankful to longtime Green Chimneys friends, Tom and Carol Lowell. In August, Tom hosted the 2nd Annual Long Chappadale Golf Outing at the Sunningdale Golf Course. The Lowells, along with their friends, raised more than $35,000 for The Friends of Green Chimneys. Thanks Tom and Carol, this was a hole in one!

Smiles & Scholarships for Campers

Another summer camp season has come to a close, and with nearly 1,000 campers attending Green Chimneys Summer Camp, the sunscreen and snacks have been aplenty. Each year, Green Chimneys awards camp scholarships to help families struck by financial or circumstantial hardship. This year we reached a new high distributing over $65,000 in scholarships, allowing more than 86 children to enjoy the traditions of summer camp.  From fostering new friendships to embracing new adventures, kids who may not have otherwise been given the opportunity created lasting memories and caught the spirit of summer camp.  Stay tuned for announcements on the 2013 camp season.

Say "Fore" in Support of Green Chimneys

We're t-minus 16 days until tee time: join us for the 18th Annual Executive Golf Challenge on Monday, September 24. It's a great opportunity to perfect your putt, catch up with colleagues and support a worthy cause. All proceeds benefit Green Chimneys' innovative and caring services for children, families and animals. Select individual and foursome packages remain; view your options and get ready to hit the green for Green Chimneys.
A Play by Any Other Name...

Over the summer actor, artist and Green Chimneys NYC Division (GCNYC) intern Maggie Keenan-Bolger set out on a special mission: to redefine LGBTQ history. Maggie scripted a "theatrical telling" based on hundreds of interviews conducted with LGBTQ youth, including those participating in GCNYC programs. Under the direction of Adrienne Campbell-Holt, and to a sold out crowd, a staged reading of Queering History made its debut on August 19 at the Producer's Club in NYC. The lineup of featured performers included Maggie's siblings Andrew (Newsies) and Celia (Peter and the Starcatcher) along with Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Celisse Henderson, Tom Southrada and others. Learn more about Maggie and Queering History.

Maggie's internship was made possible with support from
The Palette Fund
and Point Foundation.
