Thank you for your continued support. And a very special thank you to the many clients that have so graciously requested to still pay for their service even though no services have been provided this month. Our hearts have been softened by the amazing thoughtfulness of our community and the depth of caring that we have experienced during this time.

All of our staff have been on Standby Unemployment. During our closure we have made some updates to our procedures and protocols to insure that we are operating safely during this time. The following information will outline the changes we have implemented based on EPA recommendations for cleaning during the time of the coronavirus. These new PPE requirements and protocols have been put in place to keep you, our staff, and our community safe during this pandemic.

Please note that we are maintaining our reopening date of 4/13/2020. Services will resume on 4/13/20. Unless you have emailed us already to cancel your services beyond this date, your next service date will resume as normal. Please note that some additional time may be needed to complete your service if you have missed more than one service in your normal schedule rotation. Please understand that we are scrambling to get everything back in order and it is rather chaotic. We will not have time to individually call each of our clients to give a reminder of the next regular service dates.

What is Green Cleaning Seattle doing to prevent the spread of viruses and infectious diseases? During the pandemic, Green Cleaning Seattle will also be utilizing the following PPE and protocols:

  • One of the main ingredients that we use for cleaning is Thymol. Thymol is an EPA-approved disinfectant that is also natural. It is approved for killing the Coronavirus. This ingredient is contained within all of our cleaning solutions
  • We use HEPA filters in our Miele vacuums, which filter down to 0.1 microns 
  • Upon request, if desired (additional charge), our TANCS® steam vapor systems can also be used (inform our office at the time of booking if this is desired). According to the EPA, this steam system has been shown to reduce the Human coronavirus 229E by 99.94% in 3 seconds, and harder-to-kill viruses, such as canine parvovirus, by 99.99% in 7 seconds. We have a limited amount of these machines so if you know that you would like to add on this service, please inform us right away
  • Our Green Cleaners wear disposable gloves throughout the duration of the service
  • Our Green Cleaners are provided with hand-sanitizer and wash their hands regularly
  • Our Green Cleaners wear REUSABLE (locally-made, hand-made) masks and plastic glasses for the duration of the service
  • Our Green Cleaners use clean cleaning cloths and mop heads for every home
  • Our equipment is sanitized after each use
  • Our Green Cleaners have been given the option to receive unemployment or stay at work. All of our staff choose to be a part of the mission to kill Covid-19 and to remain a working member of the local economy
  • Our employees are still practicing social distancing. Our employees and Green Cleaners are following the social distancing guidelines and limiting their exposure to others during this pandemic
  • Our Green Cleaners will stay at least 6’ away from you
  • Our Green Cleaners take their temperature each morning to make sure they are not feeling any signs of illness; if they are feeling sick at all, they will stay at home and may choose to use their Sick Pay if they desire
  • Our Green Cleaners and employees receive regular training relating to sanitation, cleaning and safety

What we need from our clients:

  • Please inform us prior to your service if you (or someone in your household) has been experiencing any flu or cold like symptoms, or has been exposed to Covid-19, or has tested positive for Covid-19. If more than 24hrs notice is given, no cancel fee will be charged. Less than 24hrs notice, a $100 fee will be charged; $50 of which will be waived if the service is rescheduled within 2 months
  • Please tell our office your general plan of how you (and your household) will maintain 6ft social distancing during the cleaning (ie: something like - you will leave or stay in one room during cleaning). This is so we can all rest assured that we will all be practicing social distancing during the cleaning
  • We now require a $200 deposit at the time of setting up service for all new clients (we will not collect physical payment or come in contact with clients at time of service). Remainder of payment will be due via credit card invoice after completion of service
