Our next webinar topic - the benefits of a plant-rich diet - continues with our goal to support the delivery of high quality health care that also has a low carbon impact. Choose either:

Monday, June 6, 2022, 8:00-9:00 a.m.

Monday, June 13, 2022, 12:00-1:00 p.m.

The evidence-based health benefits of a plant rich diet include better diabetes control, reversal of atherosclerosis, improved gut and mental health, reduce risks of diseases of aging and some cancers. We can help our patients lower their blood pressure, cholesterol, A1C, and number of medications. And we can lower the burden of animal agriculture on our planet which currently causes almost 15% of climate change.

Come learn about the benefits of a plant rich diet and practical tools with Dr. Brian McKenna, Deputy Lead Physician, Hamilton Family Health Team.

We are gratified to see teams embrace green care. Environmental sustainability is good for your physical health, mental health and including it in your practice is a great way to bring your team together.

This month, we are celebrating the efforts of two teams: Harvard Square Family Practice and Core Care Family Health Team.

Harvard Square has earned their Green Team plaque by engaging in a variety of sustainable practices including ditching single-use water bottles and adopted the C.A.R.E. project.

Here is their beautiful plaque that highlights their commitment to green AND inclusive care!

Core Care Family Health Team participated in the HFHT Nutrition Month Team Challenge that combined the theme Ingredients for a Healthier Tomorrow and eating plant rich. Here is the team at Core Care enjoying a plant protein lunch together!
