All We Need
| | |
How much is enough?
It's a question we all face. In a world that constantly encourages us to want more, Jesus invites us to discover the freedom of trusting God's goodness.
This Sunday, October 25, we continue our All In stewardship series with “All We Need.” Through the story of manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16) and Jesus' teaching about treasure, worry, and God's kingdom (Matthew 6), we'll explore what it means to recognize God's provision and live with grateful, generous hearts.
We'll discover that having enough isn't simply about what we have. It's also about how we care for one another.
God's idea of enough includes our neighbors.
And don't forget—our Trunk or Treat celebration is Sunday evening! It's another wonderful opportunity to welcome our neighbors and share God's love with our community.
We hope you'll join us for worship and a day of fellowship and hospitality!
| | Join us Sunday evening for our Trunk or Treat! This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an evening of fellowship, visit with friends, and share in the joy of seeing children and families from our community. Hot dogs and chips will be served, and plenty of candy will be handed out. You don't have to decorate a trunk or bring candy to participate — just come, bring a friend, and enjoy a fun evening with your church family. Your presence helps make this event special! | | |
We were blessed to welcome Brittany Eastridge, Deaconess in Training, as our guest speaker this past Sunday for United Women in Faith Sunday. Brittany shared a special message about the Children’s Defense Fund and the importance of advocating for and supporting children.
Our Children’s Sunday School Class also shared a special presentation during worship.
If you were not able to attend worship Sunday, there is a recording of the service now uploaded. It was a beautiful service. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/k-pCH12zRig

Green Meadow is excited to support Family Promise’s “Home for the Holidays” fundraiser on Sunday, November 1, by donating a beautifully decorated white Christmas tree for the silent auction.
Our theme is “Angels We Have Heard on High,” and we invite every church family to contribute one or two angel ornaments to help decorate our tree. A collection basket will be available on the kitchen counter at church. | | After a hiatus, Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church is again hosting a fan favorite, the Fall Festival. The Fall Festival is a major church fundraising effort. Proceeds help to fund the church's mission work and community outreach efforts. It is also a time of welcoming friends and visitors to our church and beautiful community, highlighting the beauty of the area, the bounty of the season, and sharing God's love. Everyone is welcome! | | |
We invite all women to join in our purpose "to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We are turning “faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world.”

Each week, the bulletin includes Continuing the Conversation: Living the Word Together, a few short questions connected to the sermon that invite reflection on how God’s Word shapes daily life.
These questions can be used over lunch after worship, around the dinner table, in a small group, or in conversation with a friend. The hope is simple: that the sermon continues beyond the benediction through thoughtful conversation and lived discipleship.

Change for Children
Throughout the year, we invite everyone to drop their loose change into the pitcher. Change for Children is a ministry of the Holston Conference that provides grants to ministries serving children. Each year, we take the money collected in our pitcher as one of our church’s offerings to Holston Annual Conference.
| | On the last Sunday of each month, we pass the Blessing Bucket and share a blessing and an offering. These connectional ministries help our understanding that congregations can do more together to transform the world for the sake of Jesus Christ. To see 2026's full list click here. | | |
Our United Methodist Social Principles remind us,
"We affirm that all creation belongs to God... Human beings,
nonhuman animals, plants, and other sentient and nonsentient beings participate in the community of creation, and their flourishing depends upon the care of all God's creation."
October 2026
According to research, just two hours a week in nature have a positive effect on health and psychological wellbeing—and the benefit holds regardless of age, income, or chronic illness. Build nature time into your routine and your family’s. Take a 10-minute nature break, eat lunch outside, talk and walk. Love yourself and your loved ones.
Green space is critical infrastructure for health and wellbeing. And like all infrastructure, access to it isn't equally distributed. Lower-income neighborhoods consistently have less tree canopy, hotter temperatures, more pollution, and worse health outcomes. Speak up for parks and trees to be placed so that all neighbors benefit.
Weave love of creation and neighbor into your worshipping community’s practices through liturgy, fellowship, education, and contemplation. See to it that creation justice is not just an occasional program or a single campaign or the purview of one committee but a dimension of the congregation’s shared life.
Who pays for pollution? Not the polluters! Challenge government to shift the cost back to where it belongs. As citizens and people of faith, follow Jesus’ story of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8), who stuck to her mission and finally convinced the unjust judge. Keep bringing injustice to planet and people to the attention of the powers that be. Write letters, sign petitions, make calls.
Put your money to work for justice. When you buy organic, you guarantee more farmers can grow healthy, safe food. When you buy fair trade, you provide living wages and fight poverty. When you bank with a community bank or credit union, you are investing locally and likely not funding fossil fuel projects. Choose justice.
Persist in the “little things” you do to help the planet—recycling, composting, planting, thrifting, ride sharing, consuming less, using alternatives to plastic—and talk about what you are doing and why. People pay attention to the practices and words of people they know. You make a difference.
