We are very excited to host Xiuhtezcatl pronounced (Shu-tez-caht) Martinez. 15 years old Xiuhtezcatl and his brother Itzcuauhtli pronounced (Eat-squat-lee) Martinez are Indigenous Environmental Activist's, Eco Hip-hop artist's and public speakers from Boulder, Colorado. They have been speaking to crowds at conferences, schools and demonstrations from the Rio+20 United Nations Summit in Rio de Janeiro to addressing the General Assembly at the United Nations New York. Prior to starting Brass Valley Brian founded a healthcare training business which was sold in 1997 a real estate company and served in the technology space for several companies in sales and marketing management.

| Applications Open for Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes |
The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes celebrates inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all across North America. Established in 2001 by author T.A. Barron, the Barron Prize annually honors 25 outstanding young leaders ages 8 to 18 who have made a significant positive impact on people, their communities, and the environment.
ELIGIBILITY
The Barron Prize welcomes applications from public-spirited young people who are, on our
April 15 deadline:
- between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19)
- permanent residents of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada
- currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months
- working as an individual to lead their service work. The Barron Prize does not accept applications from large groups of young people.

The World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE) is a people's movement offering practical environmentally sustainable actions following the 2015 Paris agreement on climate change. We are looking for schools in coastal cities, where the pupils should simply write their commitment to reducing polluting carbon dioxide (CO2) gas on a piece of paper of 8 x 12 cm. We are inviting 1,000,000 school children in 100 coastal cities from around the world to submit these papers. We would then gather and unveil these at the UN in Switzerland on June 17 as part of an international climate campaign. Learn More
