New Portland Cliff—Carbon Neutral Beauty for Hospitality Spaces

Crossville® introduces Portland Cliff™, our latest carbon-neutral porcelain tile collection—the sixth in our portfolio to achieve this milestone. Carbon-neutrality products underscore our commitment to reducing embodied carbon in the built environment while delivering surfaces that meet the performance and aesthetic demands of hospitality design.

Equally significant, all Crossville U.S.-manufactured porcelain now contains a minimum of 10% pre-consumer recycled content (view Crossville’s recycled tile content document here). Additionally, every product manufactured in our Tennessee facilities is also Green Squared® Certified (ANSI A138.1) View Crossville’s sustainability commitment here.

But Portland Cliff is more than its sustainability credentials—it’s also a celebration of design heritage. The collection draws inspiration from Portland stone, a limestone quarried on England’s Isle of Portland since Roman times. For centuries, this iconic material has shaped landmarks from St. Paul’s Cathedral to the United Nations. Portland Cliff reinterprets that legacy in high-performance porcelain, with subtle veining, soothing tonal shifts, and a serene neutral palette—ideal for hospitality spaces where atmosphere matters.

The collection features Crossville’s innovative Visual Touch Technology, a hyper-realistic surface that follows the veining and variations of true stone, offering a sensory connection between sight and touch. Portland stone is ideal for spa-inspired bathrooms, refined guest suites, and elegant lobbies.

Large-formats, indoor/outdoor finishes, and creative mosaic details, including a new barrel mosaic, allow designers to craft spaces that balance timeless beauty with modern performance.

With Portland Cliff, Crossville unites history, innovation, and sustainability in a collection designed to elevate hospitality environments today—and endure for generations.
