In July 2024, the district began using Sofidel Dissolve Tech hand towels, which dissolve in under three minutes when flushed. Now, more than 70% of the district is using them.
Schools using Dissolve Tech have seen a significant reduction in toilet clogs and plumbing related expenses.
“We’ve reduced our back-ups by approximately 80% [in schools using Dissolve Tech],” Flint said. “This has helped us to reduce plumbing and related labor expenses.”
Results
Fulton County School District has experienced the following results as a result of transitioning to Sofidel Dissolve Tech Towels:
- Reduced toilet clogs by 80% in schools using Dissolve Tech towels
- Reduced plumbing and related labor expenses
- Improved the appearance and hygiene of school restrooms
“We haven’t had any complaints from any of the schools, which is a win,” Flint said. “We’re happy with the results and expect strong savings across the county as we continue to roll Dissolve Tech out.”
