Saskatchewan Report
The last few months we have seen a couple different seasons; warm, melting, rain, snow, wind, cold and that cycle has continued. One of the more interesting winters I have seen while being in the industry. There is some concern throughout the province with potential ice issues and damage on the turfgrass from the unique winter we have had. December and January rain on frozen ground has lots scratching their heads. Some courses have tried different techniques to remove the ice, and some are letting things be because of the potential for additional damage.

Upcoming National Tournament Program
In support of our Canadian golf industry partners, Golf Canada is pleased to offer all CGSA members one free pass to the RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf and Country Club any day except Friday/Saturday (concert days). You must go through admissions and present your CGSA membership card and ID, and you will be granted access to the grounds. Please note that no additional guest passes are included.
Economic Impact Survey
The National Allied Golf Associations (NAGA) which CGSA is a part of, has sent an Economic Impact Survey of Golf (EIS) to all golfers and golf course operators. The results of this survey determine the value of the golf industry in Canada and assist in showing employment numbers, environmental impact and participation levels of the sport.

If you have participated in the survey, thank you! In an effort to get as much participation as possible, please review your inbox or encourage your GM or Club Ownership to do so and look for the survey and complete - it would have come from this email address with this subject line: ngcoa@ngcoa.ccsend.com - NAGA Seeks Your Input for 2024 Golf Economic Impact Study . The more participation the better the overall results of the survey are.

If you have not already participated in the golfer survey; which may have come through Golf Canada - please visit one of the links below to participate today:

Thank you for your time to participate in this valuable research.

CGSA’s Standing Committees are the lifeblood of our organization. The input of our members in a number of critical areas of the CGSA mandate helps to shape the very programs and services that the CGSA provides on a daily basis and provides an exciting opportunity to meet people from across the country and get first-hand, and in many cases, advanced knowledge of the issues and situations affecting golf course management in Canada.
