Alberta Report
It was an abrupt end to the 2020 golf season as snow descended on Alberta causing a flurry of action to get courses put to bed. Hopefully, everyone was able to get everything they needed done on the golf course and enjoy some relaxing time away.
We definitely don’t want to re-start 2020 but it has been great to watch the resurgence of our Golf Industry.  Our golf courses were once again seen as an essential and safe recreation facility for the young and old. It can’t be lost on us how the golfing public flocked to courses across the province as an opportunity to be outside and enjoy mother nature.
British Columbia Report
2020
Winter is no longer coming, for most parts of BC winter is here. After what seemed like a long tough year for most superintendents the end of the 2020 season is a welcome sight. Unfortunately many of our superintendents in BC, those in the lower mainland and Vancouver Island will continue working through what appears to be a similarly hard winter. Good luck gentlemen, good things are on the horizon. In BC, like most of Canada, superintendents take this opportunity to rejuvenate, get educated, and travel. The latter seems to be more difficult this year as travel restrictions and just the sheer process of quarantining is making travel prohibitive.
