As another year closes and a new one begins, it’s always a good time to look back with gratitude and appreciate what was accomplished in the previous year. As Golf Course Superintendents, we are always looking to improve and be even just a little bit better than the year before.
Defining that improvement can often be where the challenge comes. My first inclination is to tout things that our Team did that golfers would notice. Maybe that was constructing a new tee box, raking bunkers more often or keeping green speeds more consistent.

Consider Budgeting Staff Membership in 2024
|
Assistant membership has been a hot topic around the CGSA Board of Directors lately. All too often the challenge of finding Assistant Superintendents these days is daunting. Once you do so, we highly encourage you to consider budgeting for their membership in the coming year. In speaking with T-Jay Creamer, AGS, British Columbia Director he said, “I know my first exposure to CGSA was almost 25 years ago winning a bursary out of college. Looking back through the years now, I realize how much I benefited from my membership with education, networking, and recognition programs that not only helped propel my career, but also cemented my dedication to the industry itself.”
