The Atlantic area had their annual Christmas lunches, and they were well attended as always. It is great to get together at the end of the season and share stories as we head into some downtime. We are just weeks away from the Atlantic Turfgrass Conference and Trade Show. This show always has a great line up of speakers, a busy trade show and a well attended banquet. The event takes place from February 10-12, at The Weston Hotel, in Halifax.

The CGSA Announces the 2026 Annual General Meeting

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) announce the proposed agenda for the Annual General meeting (AGM) which will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 beginning at 5:00pm Mountain Standard Time.

Only "voting members" in good standing (Superintendent, Golf Course Management and Life) have speaking privileges. All members in good standing are invited to attend.

CGSA and ENVU Announce Continued Partnership

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) and Envu Canada are pleased to announce their continued partnership. The renewal of this partnership agreement means that Envu will remain as the presenting sponsor of the Canadian Golf Course Management Conference awards luncheon and the exclusive sponsor of the CGSA/Envu Superintendent of the Year award through 2028. Envu will continue their involvement with CGSA throughout those same years with participation and sponsorship of the Fall Field Day and through advertising initiatives.

Request for Online Donations

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) is seeking donations for the Online Auction. An excellent opportunity to promote your product or service to over 1000 golf industry delegates and members. The Online Auction will be held online during The Canadian Golf Course Management Conference and Trade Show from February 24 - 26, 2026. Proceeds from the Online Auction are used to support advocacy and scholarships. Items will be added to the auction site as they are donated and will be promoted often to delegates and members before the conference.

The auction is available to all CGSA members and conference delegates.

2026 CGSA TURF MANAGERS’ SHORT COURSE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:

The CGSA Turf Managers’ Short Course Scholarship Award was instituted by CGSA to support students studying at the University of Guelph in the month-long Turf Managers’ Short Course.

NEW IN 2025: The CGSA Board of Directors has approved one scholarship in the amount of $2,500 in scholarship funds for the 2026 academic year.

Deadline for Submission: March 31, 2026
Purpose: Financial support for students enrolled in the University of Guelph Turf Managers' Short Course.
Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in the course.
