As we head into the summer Superintendent’s in Manitoba have been focused mostly on keeping things moist as rainfall has been a bit sparse to start the season off in the Winnipeg area as well as in Western Manitoba. So far we have had good attendance at the 2 MGSA monthly meetings at Players Course and St. Boniface Golf Club hosted by Garth Recksiedler and Darren Kalyniuk. Both courses were in great shape and a good time was had by all.

The unusual and erratic spring continues throughout the province. Near record rainfalls along with below normal temperatures in some regions has made turf recovery most difficult. Warmer temperatures finally arrived last week and recovery from a devastating winter has improved.
