It has been a busy time for all the golf courses as spring brought some good turf results and some not so good. There are reports of winter damage throughout the province and we wish everyone a speedy recovery. That being said, at times like these it is great to have a support network. Don’t be afraid to call on your fellow superintendent, he/she may be going through the same thing or have a tip to help the process. One thing about our industry is we are always willing to lend a hand or words of encouragement.

Quebec has suffered in many regions this season. Golf courses suffered heavy ice damage with a lot of rain in late December and January. Very cold temperatures after the rain allowed ice to form under the
little snow cover we had. Golf courses also had trouble putting their courses to bed for the winter with early snow and very cold temperatures.
