Quebec Report
Luc Ladoceur
As we conclude this very unique golf season, here’s what took place in Quebec.

Our spring started in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic forcing superintendents to open golf courses with reduced staff and not knowing when or if there would be a season. Finally, the 2020 golf season in Quebec started on May 20th.

Spring and early summer were extremely dry with way above average temperatures followed by a rainy August and September.
Manitoba Report
It has been a pleasant fall here in Manitoba so far. Drier conditions have meant that most courses have been able to work through their fall projects and aeration programs without too much interruption which is a significant change from the last couple of years.

All the Superintendents I have spoken with reported that their courses are still very busy. Many are looking forward to aeration and some cooler weather to help courses heal from the traffic experienced this year.
The Canadian Goes Virtual March 2 - 4, 2021
CGSA announced that the 2021 edition of The Canadian Golf Course Management Conference will be offered in a virtual environment. This has not been an easy decision; but the health and safety of members and stakeholders is of utmost importance and given the number of attendees at the annual gathering a live event is not a viable option for March 2021. Check golfsupers often for conference updates.
