The Canadian Registration Opening Next Week
We've introduced early bird rates; so register before November 30th for the lowest rates!
And we've included all refreshment breaks, breakfasts, lunches and two evening social events in the All Access Package. The Canadian Golf Course Management Conference will be taking place at the iconic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The education and trade show will be under one roof.
National Tournaments
And that’s a wrap! The National Tournament schedule kicked off in May in British Columbia and wrapped up with our last presentation on October 5th in Cape Breton. This year CGSA recognized 31 members throughout the summer for hosting these events. Member recognition was up 7% compared to 2019.

Jim Flett, AGS, is the Superintendent of the Year
The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) and Bayer Environmental Science Canada (Bayer) are pleased to announce Mr. Jim Flett, AGS from the Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club in Port Carling, Ontario as the CGSA/Bayer Superintendent of the Year for 2022.
 
The CGSA/Bayer Superintendent of the Year award recognizes a member of the CGSA who has held the position of golf course superintendent for a minimum of five years and who has distinguished her or himself through dedication to the profession, performance as a golf course superintendent and contributions to their profession and their community.

Club de Golf de la Vallee du Richelieu receives Audubon Certification
Congratulations to Dean O'Doherty on becoming Audobon International's latest ACSP certified member. Located near Montreal, Quebec, Club de Golf de la Vallee du Richelieu has done a tremendous job in promoting pollinator habitat for their onsite honeybees.

Following 2-Year Hiatus, Formation of Tim Kubash Group Announced
Tim Kubash is excited to announce the formation of the Tim Kubash Group which reflects what the company is now offering across western Canada following Tim’s 2-year hiatus from the business. Guelph Turfgrass Institute Grand Opening 

The new G.M. Frost Research and Information Centre will be the centrepiece of the recently relocated Guelph Turfgrass Institute (GTI), which marks its 35th anniversary as a national leader in research, extension work and professional development for the study of turf.  For more details and photos click here.
Neil Beech, G. C. Duke 
It is with great sadness that G.C. Duke Equipment announced the passing of company Vice-President, Neil Beech at the age of 53. Neil fought hard against a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis for many months. For more information click here.
University of Minnesota Requests your Help for Turf Data Collection 

Many of you are golf course superintendents who helped collect data last season for our WinterTurf Project; we truly appreciate all the assistance you have provided. Now we are starting our efforts to sign up past and new participants for another winter of data collection that will start later this year after the current golfing season.
